Forgotten Memory

Is ir really?

It has been around 9 months since we met,

that faithful day I first saw your beautiful face.

It's been 5 months since the time for our love has set,

since I fell on my knees and cried like a disgrace.

 

I have moved on with my life

or have I really let go?

I want to say I  have pulled out the heart embedded knife,

Yet, I know that wound still has blood that flows

 

Why did you do this to me?

The heartbreak after your actions

I made a wish for our love to forever be

But you left and pushed me over my limitations.

 

I loved you

and I know I always will

I will always treasure your forgotten memory...

really heartfelt, always appreciate this kind of honest emotion for sure. and yeah, our wounds scab over, but love always leaves a scar. sad fact of life, and this piece portrays that with true honesty.

this memory is not so forgotten by the author and the pain in this write feels very new
