Guardian Angel

Just a free write

Blow after blow,
continuous pain,
as if it were part of him
like the blood in his vessels.

He would take any blow,
in order to take away
anyone else's pain
makes me wonder how can he still be standing?

This girl shot him in the heart,
even at point blank range.
And he gets up exhausted in agony
in order to comfort his crying love...

How can he still be standing?
Is there really such a thing as a guardian angel?
