Not BelieveA Poem by Josh W.
If but only one time,
Could I possibly believe the lie? Could I hide the architect behind the dream, As he mocks me in the silence. If I could just once see it, Would I love this wondrous place? Could I live among the ill and diseased, Plagued by the joy of content. And If I had the capacity, Would I even want to know? Could I face the fact that I belong with them, With the cravens and the mad. For what this life would build, Would the truth soon erase? As faith takes to form of gravity, And keeps me crawling through fields of salt, To quench the thirst of the dying. © 2016 Josh W. |
