The Barbie

The Barbie

A Poem by Ronda
"

This is about wanting to belong to the group when it was painfully apparent to me and everyone else around me that I did not belong .

"

A satin aura portrayed;
lip liner perfectly placed
as Michelangelo creating
a almost sinful mural on a
church ceiling.

Hair brushed and curled,
missing an old baseball cap
with a pony tail hanging
in a messy drawstring
down her back.

A lacy announcement to
a sea of T-shirts and attitudes
ready to use their
looks of weaponry
on her misjudged portrayal.

Wishing to be placed among them
and be called a friend
in this casual world of
hunting and the automotive arts,
but an annoying mark on the wall
is all she is in this carefree and harsh world.
