Two Ways

Two Ways

A Poem by Benjamin L. Weekly

Laughing with you humorous
Smiling with you happy
Winking at you flirtatious
Complimenting you sappy

Dreaming in your eyes
Sliding on your skin
Living for your body
Dying in a kiss

Beauty is inside
Beauty is outside
You make me happy
In two ways not one

Doesn't seem all that raw to me. I like how it reads, the rhythm of it and the simplicity. It works very well.

Perfect ending lines to the paradox of this.

and please, leave dieing. To die is more profound, everything is felt more that way.

It's really nice. I love it because it's raw. I love the "Living for your body, Dieing in a kiss".

I like the duality of this piece - the love of the internal beauty and the external beauty. It's nicely paced and rhymed and is not at all saccharine - despite its subject. A great piece.

Dieing should be dying...right?
