I prefer my worms in Mezcal or Tequila, that way, he's good and pickled by the time you eat him and you're too drunk to care.lol good poem...Haiku?..BLESS YOU!

I like the concept, and the protien in the bite, but as you've allready been told this peice does not fall into the strict format of haiku. is there another name for 4-2-6?

thanks for posting....

I never liked apples much anyways, so I am not as grossed out as others

WEll I don't really know much about haikus - and frankly I don't generally like them... but I liked this - even if it wasn't a true haiku. We can call it the "Weekly Haiku"!

It's an interesting thought. It's not a Haiku however as it doesn't follow the correct form:
3 lines
5 syllables
7 syllables
5 syllables

anything else is some other kind of poetry.

oh my. haha. how about that!
speaking of terse. quite a short review.

Tiger, the only thing i'd questuion here is the first line. not the placement but the phrasing. it gives the sense that the apple is not longer an apple but a spheroid of worm matter. appleskin and worm matter.

it's delivery and content are certainly haiku. the delivery depicts that haiku lens we use when soemthing grabs us from "out there" and hits something "in here" and does so at that moment

also, consider how you know it is a worm and that it is in the center "did you slice the apple open, did you bite it open?"
