I Guess I Should Start Here

Where my thoughts started changing . . . And I started understanding.

I write this on my mom's iPad which is currently on 10% so I will try to make this quick~

Night after night. Day after day. So blind, I honestly don't know how I could've missed this. How could I have NOT seen this coming? I've lived with them all my life. Their hatred for me growing stronger everyday. -my family

The stares I get from other people. Anger building up inside me. I force myself to dig my nail into my skin so I don't hurt them. I force that fake smile no one can see past. Not even I can truly believe I am who I am. The shadows laughing. The ghosts pointing. Making my life as miserable as possible. I am not bullied but I am not blind to hatred. After twelve years & a near death experience, you start to see the hate in their eyes. The way they cower when you tell the truth. Their eyes darken. . . Just like their souls. I stand up for the hurt & encourage the weak. But who am I? The hypocrite. I can't keep telling this people "keep your chin high, hon." when I can't go a day without letting the demons give me scars. -society

Who are you?
Who are to judge?
Who are you to second guess?

But who am I? Who am I to judge? Who am I to second guess life? I can't take eight years of this. I try to look at people that smile at everyone & pretend I'm just as happy as they are. But after a while. . . You look back on your past & see that they never loved you & those two people that TRULY care about you . . . are the ones that know your pain .

So, who are YOU to make fun of that kid that tries to make life the best. They try their hardest. . .& . . . Once the one person they actually gave a damn about left. They learn to stop caring.

SO WHO ARE YOU TO ASK THEM WHAT'S WRONG?

Hardest thing to learn. Don't concern yourself with other people opinions. Live your life and do your best. I like the thoughts in the poem. led the reader to a logical ending.

Concern can only exacerbate the issue sometimes. Thoughtful and directed both good qualities to emulate in a poem depending on the type.
