Interconnecting Spring

Interconnecting Spring

A Poem by Twilight
"

Between the end of Christmas, and start of Spring; life can seem bleak. And, what aspirations for the year ahead?. Indeed, about our approach to tackling this year; and potentially years thereafter.

"
Interconnecting Spring,
Is time wasted,
Following the Christmas binge,
And what comes next,
Before what the Spring shall bring?

Are we now in "no man's land",
On land but far from shore,
Will this year of 2026,
Herald us to party more,
Or lament the year before?

Shall we embrace the prospect,
Of positive change and hope,
Will there be any lovers,
For us to play with or elope,
So long as we maintain hope?

Be not idle,
Be not complacent,

Be resilient,
Prepared to be patient,

Never give up,
Never neglect your health,

Twilight comes to us all,
When we reach that time in life,

Let's embrace 2026,
Without fear, trouble or strife...

Twilight
This poem speaks of that hiatus, following Christmas and yet before Spring. And, some thoughts for how we approach the year ahead.

For people who struggle with seasonal depression, I think this period you speak of is a most difficult time. The festive season provides focus and anticipation for many and there can be a bit of a crash after that.

I like the positivity of your message. It’s a great way to approach the unknown. There are positive and negative possible outcomes to all that is to come, I suppose. And statistically I would imagine there would be a similar chance of it going either way. We know nature is not a force that chooses one over the other, necessarily, so embracing the idea that the positive outcome is as likely as the negative one is a good strategy to help us move forward in times when things seem heavy. You offer some great advice here, Julian. Thanks for sharing this viewpoint.
