WeekendA Poem by James MckayMy alarm goes off I roll over out of bed I shower and wash I go down the stairs I walk into the kitchen I make some coffee Outside my window A robin feeds its young ones They all tweet for more Right outside my door Kittens nurse on their mama I love when they purr The sun is up bright It's going to be a good day I called into work A three-day weekend I have worked so very hard I do deserve this I load up my truck With my pole and tackle box To catch a big bass My alarm goes off I roll over out of bed Monday has arrived! by: JWM
