Saying goodbye to winter!!

Goodbye my frosty friend.

Goodbye my frosty friend,
I will no longer feel your chill
down my Icy hand.

I will miss you, we all will.
Especially when we started,
Sliding down that small hill

My fingers are now free,
from the clothed prison
that protected me.

At the time of solstice,
you covered my shelter
all with ice.

As a reflex, I shiver,
but don’t take me wrong,
I enjoyed winter.

I shall dwell on your leave,
but as the unspoken promise says,
you will be back for another eve.

Longing for your return, I wait
but I am not worried,
For you are never late.

How adorable in its innocence. It has the voice of a child happily saying goodbye to a beloved mascot, knowing that there'd be a next time. It is a relaxing poem.

It depends really where you live, here we get a slightly cold winter, but it's quite a godsend after the exhausting sun. We get no snow here, sadly :(
