Swing

Swing

A Poem by Erik A. Harris
"

Poem inspired by the song Ikue Asazaki by Obokuri Eeumi. It really improves the read dramatically.

"
Still painting,
Won't you come to life?
If I dream of songs
Never Sung, will you
Give me a vision of vacant strife?

Sing painting, like violins.
Imagine a world in motion,
Leave the world something more,
Echoes of a long lost cause,
Naught more than a distant notion
Teaming with unrealized hopes.
Life happens once, painting,
You must surely wish to swing?

Still painting,
Won't you come to life?
If I dream of songs
Never Sung, will you
Give hope in motion, stirring life?

This is a good solid write and excellent construction. Beginnings of setting your feelings down in writing, but I encourage you to let yourself go a bit more. Delve deep into your emotion and give us part of you.

It's well written and concise.
I didn't feel much while reading it but I didn't dislike it, so that's something.

I'm lyrical by nature. The sounds and emotions felt in music inspire and bolster my music. I am a whimsical person, go with the flow kind of guy, a free heart. Yet I am military, pro choice, and a .. more..
