Walking to my JobA Poem by UC PoikaAcrostic sonnet about coming across a beautiful gal who was exercising while on the way to work.Walking to work alone by the window I saw A woman exercising in internal light Less likely she noticed folding her arms to her bra Killed any hope she may have continued that sight. Instead of pulling the shades that would cut her from view Not to mention lend her the privacy coveted by most Giggling she let her arms fall besides too Then she smiled at me as if to boast Of something I was sure I understood More perhaps than I could have wanted Yet married to death and feeling I should be good Just because I loved the good life we flaunted Overcome with guilt I just sauntered away But you know, I hoped to spite myself it would be one day. © 2014 UC Poika |
