Cave-like Creature

How will I ever truly know if I've made the right decisions?

 Have I chosen the right path, or is my dharma still just out of my reach?

I am constantly being presented with ideas, 

Solutions, revisions, options, and caution signs

Yet I find myself just as lost as always. 

I've spent so long in the dark

That I fear I may have gone blind.

Great, concise poem. The last line speaks to me, and it's catchy as hell. Somehow I think if you broke up line 1 and line 6, to convey halting consciousness, the poem would be stronger. Maybe change 6 to 'yet I find myself still just as lost as always'. Making the dharma thought more visual would strengthen it further - out of reach is too common for the wrenching sentiments here of second guessing yourself, the frustration of not knowing.

Who says that I'm happy enough though? People have always said that you can't really miss what you've never had, but once you've imagined it and your mind has tasted what you crave so much, it's nearly the same. An imagination is a powerful thing and sometimes in our desperation we imagine a light at the end of the tunnel just to keep on moving through the darkness.

im reminded of the proverb, be careful what you wish for... you might actually get it. just because you can imagine so vividly that which youve never experienced doesnt mean youve experienced it beautiful. happiness isnt the light at the end true enough.... happiness is waking up each day to take those sweet steps, even if that day wasnt the world you want...its a day you could use regardless. i have a feeling you know better than to succumb to despair, ive seen your talent... im in awe of you and youll some day discover many more amazing things within. if we didnt experience the s**t in life, what would the good even truly mean.
