My prince

Unrequited love hurts,

I can’t believe it,

I can’t believe I love you,

If I knew it would hurt this much,

I would of erased you from my life,

Forgot you existed.

I thought you were my prince,
I obviously wasn’t your princess.
I need to learn that this wasn’t a fairytale,
The happy ending doesn’t exist,
Not for me that is.

Here’s my story,

Once upon a time,

There was a girl,

Who always laughed and smiled,

But no one knew her smile was fake,

She fell in love with a boy,

Who didn’t love her,

Now all she does is dream of happy endings,

While crying in the rain.

I'm standing here in the rain,
Hoping that the rain will hide my tears,
Away from the people that care,
Care about me,
Cause I don’t want them to worry about me,
Worry over something stupid like this.

I love you.

My feelings wont change,

Well not for a while,

Love isn’t a game,

I can’t always win my prince.

I want to start a new fairytale now,
I’ll just wait for my prince,
He is coming,
He just got lost,
And is too stubborn to ask for directions.
