Good Night Moon

A poem written for my oldest son on the day he was born

 

Good Night Moon

Sleep tight stars

Watch me as I lay

 

The day is done

My battles won

I mastered the sandbox today

 

As I close my sleepy eyes

And dream of days to come

Let me sleep on clouds and rest

 

I've got a lot of growing

Yet to be done

 

Good Night Moon

Sleep tight stars

Watch me as I lay

 

Keep me safe and warm

Until I wake to another day of play!
