The soft skin of her neck, the sweet metallic scent of her blood....

I turned my head away my long hair hiding my face....

"My love?" She called out softly her beautiful face falling with a frown

She huffed softly, I moved her hair from her face softly

I kissed her cheek, a dark red lipstick mark left there

She looked at me

The sound of gun shots jolted me towards the sound

"COME OUT WITH THE GIRL!"

"THIS PLACE WILL BURN WITH YOU IN IT"

"I WILL PERSONALLY SOUT TO IT YOUR HEAD HANGS..."

I held her close to my cold body, the soft silk against parts of exposed skin

I ran with her grabbing a cloak on my way out, her still in my arms

The sun burned exposed skin as I mounted my horse bringing him to a sprint

She smelled the burned skin

"My love, the sun..." 

I hushed her softly 

as I took her to a safe place

Away from the humans

from her own kind

But for my sins I burned

I fell off the horse holding her tight as the cloak fell off

I screamed in pain....
