Ginsberg was a heavy editor of his own work, where Kerouac was a stream of consciousness author. They argued frequently which was the "truest" form of expression.
I believe they were both wrong. And both right.
Realization of your goals can only come through insight and reflection, both. So I pretty much just ramble and ramble until it looks too long, and then go back at it like Edward Goddamned Scissorhands.
