Shadows appear
Causing all light
To disappear.
Slowly leaving all
Deep in shades
Of black and grey.
For love
Was the light
That brought sunshine
To the darkest
Of nights.
But love died
And shadows
Walked in
Obscuring all traces
Of where it had been.
Night cannot
Warm the heart,
Frozen and cold.
As all warmth
Walked out
Closing life's door.
Shutting out all
Light that was left
By loves warmth...
And you .
All that remains
Are shadows turning grey
And the ice...
Loves departure makes.
