  "No Longer Whole"

 

An inner ache...to big to hide,

Feelings...all withered and dried.

Not understanding...all of this pain;

All happy thoughts, scattered and slain.

 

Addled thoughts that stir the soul,

Created being...no longer whole.

Illness and pain...are here to stay,

Nothing on earth, drives them away.

 

Inside tears...break the heart,

Happiness had no place to start.

Hurting also...on the outside,

In or out...pain still abides.

 

Self pity! Oh...I wish that were so;

Those thoughts left...long ago.

Missing life...as it had been,

Wanting it all...just as it was then.

 

Before illness replaced the joy;

When life was like a child's toy.

Crying inside, no tears on the cheeks,

Then outer tears...to weep and weep.

 

Illness...that will not...go away,

Destroying the best of so many days.

No one seems to really understand,

Sickness "Just comes" it is not planned.

 

"God"...please bring joy amidst the pain,

Let happiness reign once again.

Such Glory to God in your writes tears of pain replaced love and joy. But my God Sends Grace your way but dealing with the pain can be tough I send a pray of love and trust. Lord be willing to give you strengths to carry on and to receive the Kindness of Many Friends who care deeply and wanting to take way the pain and to only remember the best of loving days.
