"Toward The Light"

Going through a tunnel,

Heading toward the light.

Looking for, any way.....

To escape the dark of night.

Searching for something,

To make me again feel whole.

Seeking...redemption,

For my own heart and soul.

Climbing out of the dark,

Searching for the day.

Grasping and seeking,

A route to find my way.

Wishing...for the warmth,

That only day can bring.

Longing to shed the cold,

So my soul again...can sing.

Is ..death..the only way,

To escape this place I'm in,

And reach the face of Christ,

At the tunnel's end?

"seek and ye shall find" says the Good Book ;) the needed tenacity runs though your poem .. we can overcome and find healing in all things thrown at us .. we just have the darnedest time believing it :}

I enjoyed this, and the message. It's really deep when you take a moment to think about it. Something I noticed is that you use ellipses (...) in a lot of places I think are unnecessary? I think the only place it really fit where you had them was "is..death... the only way," It fits there. Adds emphasis. I don't think the emphasis is needed or makes a ton of sense in the other places. Anyway, I did really enjoy it.
