"Sun"

"Sun"

A Poem by Valentine

              "Sun"
Awoke this morning, to sun in my eyes;
Now wasn't that...a pleasant surprise?
This winter has been cloudy as can be;
But, today...the sunlight welcomed me.

Some how the sun, drives away winter's blues;
Chases away sad thoughts...I am happy to lose.
Brings a big smile...all frowns are replaced;
Along with sad thoughts I am happy to erase.

Perhaps this sunny day...is just a fluke in time;
But I am going to enjoy it, while it is mine.

    40 degrees and sunny...Whoopee>

We cannot outguess Mother Nature> Kathie
I like and agree with your words.
"Perhaps this sunny day...is just a fluke in time;

40 degrees and sunny...Whoopee>"
A sunny day does deserve a whoopee. Thank you dear Poet for sharing the excellent and positive poetry for the sun,
Coyote

It was. A bit warmer and nicer.
This was sang in old Blues style in my head by Muddy Waters Kathie - truly it was and it was divine. Well apart from the whoopee - I think Muddy is too cool to go whoopee but Im glad you felt sunny enough to write this - Very cool indeed Kathie

whoopee !
Enjoy your day!
