A plight infects the boundaries aboutA Poem by Rilie
A plight infects the boundaries about,
It's wretched claws tear the unwary heart; Knowing no mercy, rips one's will apart. Kneel before its might, invading throughout. Why does it hold me by its grizzly snout? Being dragged mercilessly by a cart By heel through the dirt, shooting like a dart, World prove more pleasing... "We beg, let us out!" Is what I would say if it were so bad. The pain compared to developing wings Ascending into the baby blue sky Cradled by clouds... Through the plight of the mad, I learn the altruism of givings One's entity to others; in the plains, we lie. © 2017 Rilie |
