Dupatta

Dupatta

A Poem by Vartika

The way it lacerates through air
Lifelessly floating without an er
Over the skyline
with a drumroll sign
Admiring the beholder
Not counting the hours
It wasn't with her
Mildly unhappy
Slightly happy
For it locked up her smell and smudge
Not yet forgotten her touch
Looking at it's pull and slew
I ask myself
When will I break like you..?
*Dupatta*
