In My Bath

In My Bath

A Poem by VelvetPotato

For Brian Wilson, it's his Room
For me, it is my Bath,
Marinade the day away,
Steam the subdued Plath

Lulling lake where worries, mistakes,
Relax like skeletal muscle,
In light sleep just below boiling heat,
To forget about your troubles

I always bath with cold water.🤣To conserve gas.But this poem made me want to take a warm soothing bath right now.

Thanks so much, Ankita! You stay safe too.
Wilson despite his wealth and fame suffered the demons and indeed found his own refuge from it. We all need a bolt hole and in this very smooth flowing pair of quatrains you take us to the warmth, the peace and tranquility of a warm soak in a dim bathroom with candles and perhaps some low jazz music. Nicely expressed.

Nice. I'd choose a good soak in a hot bubble bath too. My choice for forgetting my troubles. Maybe with the company of a scented candle and a tequila sunrise. That will do it nicely.
