I have a ten-page resume,
And a one-page life,
Footnote my regret.

What we value, alas, is too often not what we should. I've loved every minute of my professional life, but never realized what I sacrificed in its pursuit. Wish I'd been better at striking a balance.

Thank you for your kind words. Working hard to achieve success is important. But we should not sacrifice equally or more important aspects of life on the altar of our professions. Don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today is good advice. But so it don't defer for tomorrow what you should enjoy today as today will never come again, and tomorrow is always uncertain.

Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated. Alas, it is is not fiction but a sad truth. We often spend enormous energies on lesser valuable pursuits while putting aside "for later" much more important ones, assuming there will always be more time . . .
