Roiyaan

Roiyaan

A Poem by Vikrantsingh
"

Soliders wife, the pain, agony, anger she suffers each minute she feels and stays happy! Salute to their strength and support to this nation.

"
Being a soldier’s wife,
I stay awake whispering prayers into the silence of the night.
He told me, “I’m there for you and the kids.
But I’m also there for my nation.”
His eyes held no fear, only pride,
And he left us with a smile,
Brave and resolute.

Roiyaan… I cried.
Roiyaan… I cried.
I held back my tears
I couldn’t let him see my weakness.
He kissed me one last time,
Leaving the warmth of his soul with me.
Day by day, I grew weaker,
His absence like shadows that stretched with each dawn.

(A few days later…)
He returned
Draped in the tricolor,
Silent, still, yet stronger than ever.
Memories flashed before me
The day he left with a smile,
Promising to come back.
Gunshots pierced the air,
A salute to his bravery, his sacrifice.

(His comrade whispered his final words to me
“Major fought well.”)

I stood frozen, disbelief clutching my heart,
The world slipped away beneath my feet.
I collapsed, surrendering to the weight of my grief,
Knees to the earth where he once stood tall.
I touched his face cold, serene
And felt the echoes of his final breath.

In that touch, I held his pain, his courage,
His unwavering duty to his land.
And through my tears,
I found my pride
The unyielding pride of being his wife.

beautiful dedication.... even they are also brave enough to give strength to their husbands...

i mean it takes a lot to send your loved one away not knowing if he will come back alive the next time...
