EYES SQUEEZED, HEAD SHAKING

I have said for a long time,

if the universe is a created thing,

where did Intelligent Design imagine

it would be? I mean, even an infinite

amount of nothing has to be somewhere,

doesn’t it? “The vacuum has become

a bedrock concept in physics, the

foundation of any theory of something.”

And now they tell me there

are all kinds of nothing out there!

There is the kind that “has no influence

and contains no energy,” or how about this;

“A gravitational vacuum lacks any matter

or energy capable of bending space”

“In each case the specific variety of nothing

depends on what sort of something

physicists intend to describe.”

Or “the Higgs Boson” that permeates

the universe with its hand on the butt

of a gun, “In the potential mutability

of the Higgs field, physicists identified

the first of a practically infinite

number of ways that nothingness

could kill us all.”

And now I read

 “There is a multiverse of vacuums!”

Is it just me, or do you, too, feel like this

is getting us nowhere? And rather slowly

at that. But wait, don’t forget about our

“rapidly expanding bubble with no interior...”

Turns out,“nothing,” is so complicated!

"Nature is not a big fan of the vacuum.

In the extremely long run, it may prefer

nothing at all. So here we are in perfect

unison, genuflecting in worship of the

beautiful emptiness that floats on a

placid lake of universal preferences"*

I found this to be very intriguing and it may be something I dig into a bit deeper when I have time to explore nothing. I think, my opinion, no one really knows anything for absolute certain, most everything is made up...of something. : )
