In the forests of Tennessee, beauty will attack you from every side so you care always at its mercy. It follows wherever you go. Here in the near desert of The Llano Estacado, sometimes the empty sky is so deep and blue, you can see all the way to black on the other side, and that’s nice, and at night, the Milky Way is extra thick and creamy. If you’re outside, you can brush the desiccated stalks of weeds away, and sometimes find a wee purple poppy, and it's kinda nice, too. The tall red cliff walls have a certain attraction... but the only real beauty out here are the cowgirls in tight jeans and wide hats, I try to catch their eye and smile 'cause if you piss one off, they can knock you to the ground and have you trussed up for branding before you know what hit you.… then walk off with the spurs on their boots spinning a musical note. Most of 'em are mighty easy on the eye as you follow them through the store pretending to look for whatever brought you there in the first place and don’t seem to mind if you can think of something top say… (but take it from me, never ask, “Hey girl, ya wanna?” unless you’ve got your trainers on.)

Well, there was that time with Lori. fifth generation ranch girl. Brilliant mind, no education, volcanic temper.. like driving a Porsche when you've only had Volkswagens. Smile...Holy s**t, man! It's 4 AM where you are!

Yep and now its after 9am and im stuck indoors (thankfully) waiting for three parcel deliveries, one of which won't be showing up so my master plan failed at the off, but at least they usually try leaving it disguised under my doormat, as a really thick doormat. Dumbasses!
