"YOU"

"YOU"

A Poem by Sir Robert de Monoceros

You

Would I change thee one bit

          Oh spirit of the wood

  When thou comest to me

          As thine own true self

Would I change thee one bit

          If only I could

  When thou comest to me

          As thine own true self

  Blessed with thine presence

          And come to me still

  When thou returnest to me

          Of thine own free will

But why should I change thee

          Oh spirit of the wood

  When thou appearest to me

          As perfect Womanhood.
