monster

this is what i get for carring for myself.....

The monster is back…

And inside of me….

No matter how I put it..

How I word it..

It’s impossible to satisfy her hearts plea…

I wanted her to be okay….

To be happy and full..

But I just made her worse…

My caresses and kind words…

Clearly was never enough…

I’m in the same boat…

As I was before…

Countless summer days….

Shall slice me to ribbons once more….

Three steps forward….

And nine steps back…..

It’s hard for me to believe….

That my soul shall stay intacked….

It’s all my damn fault….

If only I’d agreed….

Now she’s broken….

 Inside and out….

Because of my selfish needs…..

Regret and anguish is transparent from your poem, I don't know how old you are, but if you are a young and this is based on a true event, don't be so hard on yourself, we all learn from our mistakes and life choices.
