Mirror

A poem I just wrote, it took me just a couple of minutes.

Here I sit once more

writing in the rain

the sky weeps

reflecting my heart

so many people around me

yet somehow I'm still alone

an attempt at kindness

yet harshness ensues

I long for the days

when I was a person

time unfolds before my eyes

joy, hope, love,

those were once my greatest allies

now I'm reduced to words on a page

words that are now ignored

thus I fade into the dark

never missed, no longer known

here I sit once more

writing in the rain
