Time Takes Care Of Panic

Time Takes Care Of Panic

A Poem by The Twin Arenas
"

a love poem

"
You notice it when you wake up.

You notice it again
later after you piss.

Making coffee
you notice nothing
but when the coffee is cold
and you nuke it
you notice.

Then you smoke weed
and you don't notice anything
for two hours and for awhile
you are able to become a
factory.

You notice at lunch
and often you don't eat
lunch because of it.
Just not hungry.

The afternoons you
think about nothing
or maybe the future.

You notice in the shower
before work but you're a water
baby with poor circulation
so it's fine. Nice.

At work you become
a factory once more
and if you are lucky
something will break
and that could take
all night to fix.

When my worry shows up I notice it because it comes to me in the form of a gnome. When I wake up it's sitting at the edge of my bed. When I sit and have breakfast I look up and it's sitting across from me. He doesn't talk, just sits there. Then I get in my truck and I think I've ditched him but soon I find him strapped in, a passenger. After a while I get so annoyed I grab him by his head and toss him out the window. In the review I can see it breaking into many pieces on the highway. But as soon as I get to my destination and open the door it's right there, waiting for me. I throw it in the bed of the truck.

I think I can relate.

Great piece, conda

It's the little bits of honesty peppered throughout your poems that bring such sincerity to your writing.
I know not what the concern of but the way the subject handles the procrastinating of an important subject that is causing worry or panic, by keeping himself busy, is very relatable.

Wow. The daily cycle explained.
Explained very well, I might add.
This is like my daily routine to a tee...especially the nuking the coffee part. xD

I really liked this! Thanks for sharing it with me.

You're so very welcome. =D
This comes to me as the ever greater realazation that we are commited to becoming like drones. Committed to a lie we cannot see, cannot know nor comprehend kept in the dark, kept in line. Unsuspecting, willing, blind, like a controllable herd moved around like pawns, conducted by hands we trust, compliant and deceptable and on top confident that we matter - we don't see that we're but dust.

The night won't be long enough to fix all that....

Thankyou
