Iowa Temple

A Poem by The Twin Arenas
"

The Fewtch

"
I borrowed a guitar
from the deaf lady's daughter
carried it
on my back felt
the warmth about
the waist of the blonde

Stairs sunk
like rising water
like a sunset backwards
rises
massive spires curves like gold brick rainbows and blues

I saw her
and saw what

I wanted to see

the curves and lace

Muchas gracias.
Do not walk away in silence? Love the smash of words - all so wonderfully intrepid. I am glad to have read you this rather quiet night -

I have read a few of your poems and they all provide a very interesting word choice and content. I like your take on life, reflected in your poems, in general. The writes read kind of different from other poetry but enjoyable.

Very nice. So short and sweet but just enough imagery to create all the right pictures in my mind.

The idea of a deaf lady whose daughter plays guitar, music she can never hear.
Choppy flow like the lake on a windy day.
The last four lines are great too.
