Reflection

Life

is a distorted reflection

Hung between two

fractured mirrors

Catching faded whisps of light

turning them to the

Bright of day

 

Darkness lurks-

as shadows do-

In the cracks of splintered glass

Leeching off of broken souls

To fuel their deep desires

 

For many, in their desperate search

for a solid reason,

lose a sacred self respect

and in turn

Their true reflection

This poem definitely has an intriguing ending to a penetrating, insightful controlling metaphor. Good job here applying such an insightful metaphor to something as abstract as life's meaning.
