Safe HavenA Poem by SkyeAir, frigid and still Holds its breath bated as Leaves sigh with impatience Birds bemoan, nestling even closer
Comfortably arranged, and Eyes fully agleam, I wait For the dance to begin
One by one, Turn by turn, They drift into the open, A stage to call their own, With room to leap With space to swirl Light-hearted, care-free, and pure A ballet to be remembered
Too soon they tire, nearing The end As the curtain falls
Together they rest on each frozen blade
A fine dusting of white To shelter my safe haven © 2013 SkyeAuthor's Note
