One of January's Mirth; 2009.

Our harmonious cries fill the night
Carried on the sightless tongues of the breeze
Dancing through the pined, lamenting trees...

Hear us breathe in writhing shade
Grasping frozen stars from their stationed places
Never feel us slide down beside,
Along your skin and inside; 'tis us who bind you
Blind; you don't seem to notice what becomes...

We are the bringers of life, the keepers of death
We are the encompassing flame --
To ash and beyond...

Fangs glisten always in the Moon's silvered light
Infinite and wordless, we stand upon the precipice
Endless as the horizon line;
We are the seasons and the songs of time...

We churn the gears of being and expiration.
