On the fly

Decided to write a poem off the top of my head before i travel into dream land....

The new day. 

Brings on a new light.

A new breath of air.

A new pump of your heart.

In reality, every second is new.

Every breath gives you the chance,

to hit the restart button.

It is a gift, and should be treated as such.

This truely is a broken record.

No one really know what this means,

until it is taken away.

A little philosophy before you sleep, eh? It's a very nice poem you have here, the structure is good. Possible typo in:
'No one really know what this means,'
with the 'know'. I'm sure you were just tired (given the premise ^_^). I really liked the 'A new pump of your heart.' line, it was classically beautiful. Great job, friend!

Ah yes my vision was actually blurry at this point in time, from pure lack of sleep. I was going to leave it, you know as a proud scuff mark, but i believe it takes away from the effect of the ending on the reader. Thank you for the kind words once again!
