Shiny Gentleman

Shiny Gentleman

A Poem by Carmel Kirk

Skylines, high rise; it's my disguise.

Contemplate
Your eyes, these lies; purple skies
Calculate
In scripted lines, resides; my demise. Reverberate

I want you to know...
I want you to know...
Everything golden turns to rust
Dig through the void, fill it with lust

This night, hindsight; it feels so right. Accommodate
Street lights, late flights; no end in sight. Accelerate

I want you to know..
I want to show..

Why can't we grow?
I want you to know
This golden spark turns to rust
A handsome void; hunter of lust
