Forever

Forever

A Poem by Carmel Kirk

Forever, forever.
I'm chained to these endeavors.
Whenever, wherever.
I'm down for.. whatever

Then suddenly, emphatically.
I found myself alive for the first.

I'm clever, I'm clever.
Whenever I talk weather.
Whatever I weather, I wear it on my sweater.

Then suddenly, incredibly I found myself alive for the first.
Time In long time..
Unfathomably, invariably.
Alive for the first time in a long time.

Insightful, delightful.
I'm mindful when I'm idle
It's vital, this cycle.
Lose grip on...the denial

Emphatically, erratically
I found myself alive for the first..
Infallibly, vitality.
Came crashing like a wave, right over me.

Undoubtedly, irrationally.
I find myself alive for the first..
Incessantly, quite recklessly
Unbound myself for the first..
Time In a long time.
