Accufession

A Poem by Carmel Kirk

Through broken years that I wasted
Blood, sweat, and tears that I've tasted
Deep wounds and old scars have faded
Now there's room for MORE!

15 minutes, you're famous.
Trigger finger tied to the pulse
Black tide eats through the pavement
The rot is bleeding THROUGH..

YOU'RE FAMOUS
A legend in your own mind
So famous
Where do you find the time?
Surely next in line
Here comes your big moment

Defeat the deceit underneath
Lost on the surface
6 foot deep

15 minutes, you're famous
Trigger finger tied to the pulse
Black tide eats through the pavement
The rot is bleeding THROUGH!

You're famous
A legend in your own mind
So famous
Where do you find the time?
You're next in line
Here comes your big MOMENT

Reminds me of the lead singer of Chicago years ago. This one had my pulse racing.
You build crescendo with your words. Nicely done.
