I feel there's a rhythm in this that's drowning somehow. The words are good, the imagery speaks.. maybe less sharp breaks between the lines? This is a 70/100 in heart, so don't think you haven't created something good and beautiful. Those goodbyes you never get around to hear stay with you, don't they?

People might vanish. But they never really go out of our minds. Their memories never fade because we try to hold on to them.

Don't you hate when people leave but they still haunt your mind with their unyielding presence. It is like, why won't they just leave you alone? Clearly they didn't want anything to do with you, so why must they plague your thoughts. Well done dear, this was thought provoking and a great read.

Its a good poem. Maybe think about tense when you write. Such as "didn't you know it would destroy me". Just a suggestion. Great job though
