Suffocation

1; Die or cause to die from lack of air or inability to breathe

Hands grasped

tightly on the throat

Squeezing the air that was present

Gasping on dry air

Dizzy head

Swirling eyes

Gripped lossened

Digging at the strong hands

Begging for that last and final gasp of clean air

The grasp is gone

Eyes goes wide

Your alone

No one is around

Just a dream for devastation

I enjoyed your poem and the imagery that it brought to mind (not that I enjoy visuals of suffocation! lol) but I appreciate when a poet can make me feel something when I am reading as well as the imagery words can invoke. Well done, the only part I got stuck with the pace was :Loosen gripped...maybe reverse those words, may help with the pace. Nice job

Its chilling in that my imagination says so. I picture in this write the following: Someone who doesnt expect it is grabbed from behind by the throat and has their life taken away violently. That is chilling to me.

Thats ok. I have a very vivid imagination and thats what I came away with. I generally have rather intense dreams at night too so I'm used to it. LOL
