Why worship dolls?

Why worship dolls?

A Poem by Whimi
"

Upto your comprehension

"
Why Worship Dolls?
They ask" "Why bow to stone? Why feed the lifeless? Why weep before what cannot hear?" "Can the Infinite be caged in marble? Is your Almighty so small?"
And I answer"
Yes, the Almighty is boundless, but the human mind is not.
Yes, God is formless, but man craves form to understand.
Yes, God is eternal, but man is fleeting" grasping at symbols to hold the divine.
God is no he, no she, no light, no dark,
no presence, no absence, no sound, no silence.
God is everywhere, yet seen nowhere.
I have spoken"did your mind form an image?
Hail the sages who, in silent meditation, sought a path to the Infinite" and carved idols as stepping stones.
Like a motherless child clutching a pillow, whispering grief to what cannot reply,
a devotee pours their soul into stone, and devotion breathes life into the lifeless.
Thus, the formless becomes form,
the unseen takes shape, and through these symbols, the unfathomable is within reach.

So...the language is far from poetic. The structure is far from that of poetry. Yet you call it a poem?

• Yes, God is formless

Nope. You really should read the Bible. If man is created "in his image" And "in his likeness," and if Moses saw God's a*s at the burning bush and made no comment on it being formless, your assertion is dead wrong.

Per the Bible's text, God created the heavens and earth. So before that, he was a human-shaped being floating in space, with no air to breathe, no food to eat, and a penis but no one to screw (which explains why he's so often angry).

• God is no he, no she, no light, no dark...

Only if you ignore the Bible and make up your own god.

• God is everywhere, yet seen nowhere.

So are the monsters under the bed. So by your logic, they're just as real.

• I have spoken"did your mind form an image?

Yup. But politeness forbids my mentioning the specifics.

I think you mistake a writing site for a religious site. After all, fair is fair. As the creator, high priest, and bake-sale chairman of, The Church of the Really Nice Try, you don't see me pushing my version of religion here.
