Normal

They told her she was broken

And she believed them

They told her she was abnormal

And she clipped her wings

She tried to find normal

What is normal?

Normal is conformity

There is nothing special in normal

She watched the leaf fall from the tree

And tried to see normal

She watched the light play in the sky

And tried to find normal

She listened to the silence

And tried to understand normal

Then one day years later

She realized something

Normal is not real

Normal doesn’t exist

Normal is what people want

When they cannot understand

Deep thought

Far reaching ideas

An Open mind

She was not broken

She was free

We are all different. We are all individuals. One person's normal will not be the next person's normal. Normal is overrated, for sure! We have to be true to ourselves!
