A Moment

 

Like the dew drop clinging
To the very tip of the leaf
The wink of the star in the heavens
The first look into the eyes
Of a newborn child

 

These are the moments
That define us for all time
In that second frozen
Our lives change forever
We are different because of them

 

It is not in the story
Oh no
But in that second
When our eyes see
For the very first time
A story within a story
And our minds are opened
To all that could be

WOW!!! Amazing! I love this poem. I browse unreviewed poems all the time and after reading this I'm surprised that this was never reviewed. The beginning is very captivating,

Love the imagery. I can picture every line perfectly. The ending is perfect,
"When our eyes see
For the very first time
A story within a story
And our minds are opened
To all that could be"
So true! I don't really know what more to say except GREAT POEM! :)
