Just Another DayA Poem by Jennifer PAs writers I'm sure we all have days like this. Just amusing and tacky for fun.
I woke up this morning Promising to write, But the kids were hungry And I needed a bite. So I put my pen away, Until later in the day.
Then the cat got stuck To my dismay, The telephone rang, The dog ran away, And I chased him down That big old clown.
Just when I thought I'd have a some time I distantly heard The doorbell chime. I asked myself when, As I glanced at my pen.
Now it's time for bed, I pick up my pen at last. I can't think of anything good So I scribble this dribble fast. Perhaps a masterpiece I'll never write But a poem you've got... goodnight! © 2009 Jennifer PAuthor's Note
