A dark desperation hangs over so much of this well written poem. Then there is the beauty of "The calm gentle cool breeze. The trees swaying from side to side." It is almost a tease! Depression is a horrible disease. You have described it eloquently. It is not good to keep that sort of darkness inside you where it can fester. Talking about it...even in a poem....is very healthy. I hope this poem was a catharsis for you. I wish you good luck. Lydi**

Yes this was a catharsis for me. I usually write down my feelings in poems because i am not good at expressing myself to people. Many say i have no emotions cause i dont reveal such emotions to people and the best way i have to express "Me" is through writing what is within.

The angst and pain within us needs a voice, just as much as the joy. It is when we suppress those feelings that they inevitably break us down. Look upon "writing" as a vehicle, something that gives you cause to escape, to be the "you" you want the world to see!
