Epiphany of the EyeA Poem by WikiwitWhat is there to see, and what lies beneath. Curious as you may be, never uncover the sheath.
I peer into your soul,
What do you think I see? A grey, charred charcoal, Buried under the debris. I skim through your mind, What do you think I read? A dreary, delinquent kind, Fulfilling actions of thy greed. I delve into your eyes, What do you think I visualize? A dream, dreamier than thou, Which I fell in love with, I realize. I look back to the past, What do you think the reason be? A chronology much like I now cast, To know you were not the one for me. © 2012 Wikiwit |
