Know Too MuchA Poem by Wild Willow BlueNight has never been more dangerous than in the eyes of a child. The woods behind my house are scary at night. Sometimes, I can’t even sleep. I hear the owls, and big dogs; the branches, scraping, scraping. The water in the bathroom, “drip, drip” down the drain, and I’m alone. I can feel my eyes wide with fear, the covers up to my ears, but I can still hear them. Now there’s voices; that’s what I can hear. Little kids know more about the dark, and I know more about the woods behind my house. © 2012 Wild Willow BlueAuthor's Note
