The Pain in Her Heart

The Pain in Her Heart

A Poem by Starcaller
"

A poem about suicide (PES)

"

She cuts her arm

and smiles with glee

the pain in her heart

that noone can see

her emotional torments

have faded away

and she hides the deep scars

with a colored array

bright cheery clothes

dress her not black

but deep down inside

her depression will attack

she lies through her teeth

and wears a mask of smiles

while her heart continues to break

and destroy and defile

and before they could see

her shattered heart

she gave up her life...

she tore it apart

What I really enjoyed here is the tension between subject and style, a happy rolling rhyme scheme that contradicts the almost bitter subject, good work.
